We had GREAT weather and a good turnout for our Cinco de
Mayo Drive on Long Island. More than 35 cars participated,
many of them Loti, as well as a few of those "other" makes like
Ferraris, Corvettes, Porsches, and DeLoreans.
The day started with refreshments and trinkets
compliments of Manhattan Motorscars/Hamptons
and the sales manager, Jeff Illions. Some even got their cars washed. Then it was off to
the Wolffer Winery where we were treated to the Premier
tasting…and the other Winery customers were treated to a
GREAT showing of exotic transportation.
On the way back to the luncheon at the Aonona Restaurant, Jeff treated us to some back roads, albeit at
a slow rate of speed. One of the Ferrari drivers said to Jeff, "Does that Elise have a Gas Pedal?" (The
secondary roads were all posted for 30 MPH or less…) Anyway, MM/H bought the first round of
drinks and the food couldn't be beat.
