The day started out rainy, much more so than the weatherman said. (The forecast was for afternoon
showers.) That fact held down the turnout at the Touch of England car-show this year.
Still, many stalwart Lotus owners made the trip. There were a
bunch of Esprits of varying years, plus one Elise, an Elan, and a
Europa.
When all was said and done, Chris and Steve Becker had won
the Lotus class. David Nagler’s Europa came in second, and
Anthony Francia’s Esprit SE came in third.
Not only that, we got to meet several new owners and a potential
Lotus owner, so the day was quite successful!
The picture: David and Jason Teitelbaum’s blue V8, and Tom Theilmeier’s red Guigario Esprit, provide
the perfect counterpoint to the Hermitage Mansion in HoHoKus.
