Spirited Drive and Tour of Thunderbolt Raceway

The good folks at NJ Motorsports Park say they are working like maniacs to
finish the track and grounds for the July opening, and as such their lawyers
don't want the management to give tours.
We will probably reschedule, perhaps to August 9 or 10, when a race is being
held. Kyle Kaulback from PALS will be racing that day. We are hoping for a Lotus
Corral at the track with a cookout.

Details to be announced
The new Thunderbolt Raceway (AKA NJ Motorsports park) in south NJ is the newest racetrack in the state. LEO
will be taking a tour of the track, and of course that means a Spirited Drive to get there, through the South Jersey pine
barrens en route (all two lane secondary roads).
Looks as if construction is coming along nicely, see http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/ for a taste of the facility. A Grand Am
sports car race is scheduled for August 29 - 31.

Info: Steel Wings and Sports and Specialist Cars (AKA Lotus of
Princeton, NJ) want to invite LEO members to come enjoy the Hopewell Cruise
Night.
On Cruise Night, stores stay open late, restaurants offer special
tasting menus at sidewalk booths, a blue grass band entertains, and we fill the
street with as many great cars as we can.
Steel Wings and Sports and Specialist Cars will offer informal guided tours, free car
talk, and some little snacks. We'd love to see everybody. Please pass along the
invitation to come visit with us and to sample Hopewell's shops, restaurants and
galleries.
As you know, Hopewell is a pretty little village surrounded
by terrific driving roads. How nice it would be to have a bunch of Loti adding
to the scenery!

the spacious, shaded grounds of The Hermitage since 2004. Registration is $15

Yes, once again the Lotus Enthusiast's Organization, in
conjunction with the Jaguar, Bentley, and Morgan clubs, will
host a combination Picnic, Road Rally, and Car Show at
Silas Condict Park, Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ. The date is
Sunday, July 27th. The Road Rally begins at 10:00 AM and
the Picnic/Car Show commences at 12:30.
The cost for ALL the events is $30 for two, or just $10 per
person for the picnic only. All are asked to bring a pot-luck
dish and chairs. There will be a 50-50 drawing. In short, a fun
time for everyone in the family.
A tailgate competition is in its second year! Decorate your boot with whatever is your
favorite thing or create a new theme! Bring comfy chairs and allow everyone to
visit your special car. There will be a prize for the best boot!

From Interstate 287
Take Route 287 to Route 23 North to Kinnelon Road in Kinnelon. In order to make a LEFT turn
onto Kinnelon Road, you must make a jug handle turn by getting off Route 23 at signs for
Butler/Kinnelon, Kinnelon Road.
At the stop sign, take a LEFT, go across Route 23 onto Kinnelon Road. Continue for approximately
one mile. The access road to the park, William Lewis Arthur Drive, will be on
your RIGHT. Follow William Lewis Arthur Drive to the parking areas.
From Interstate 80
Traveling WEST, continue until Route 23 Exit and take Route 23 Northbound to
Kinnelon Road in Kinnelon. In order to make a LEFT turn onto Kinnelon Road,
